Venting novally: Winter days

[written 22.05.2020, updated today]

A blind captain stared towards a warm fireplace encased in drifting embers. Miniature swirls of blackened ash blended with glowing, partial, cindered oak and cedarwood chippings.

For the blind captain, it was not the view or the warmth that enticed any attention,  in his mind it was an entirely different sight to behold. It was a fountain of chilli chocolate, swirling with ginger and spice with tangy, sherbet tasting berries. Melted to a silky smooth, shiny, shimmering fiery jewelled fondue.

This was the sound of a smokey winter daze. Nice with a glass of red.
