Poetry: The Falling Stage

(notes: 2002 to 2004)

The Falling Stage

Act 1
Passing time in the hourglass of sand,
roaming alone, helpless across a land,
self assurance, self interest.
Ease my mind for once to rest.

Wondering lost on the plain with no name,
bruised and bewildered, nothing but pain,
changed reborn, yet everythings the same.
Life full of misery, sorrow, nothing but shame.

Act 2
  Chains that held life together,
severed, crippled, cut forever.
Shooting smiles fade so quickly,
glances, glimpses, come so vividly.

Sane, insane, walls of reality,
come and goes, just like insanity.
Looking glass of no relief,
screaming, shaking, my shattered belief.

Act 3
Lost, alone, finding someone to hold on to,
pushed away, trampled on, never to belong to.
Wreaked ambitions, broken dreams,
forsaken wishes, fallen at the scenes.

Withered as a rose had died,
fed and filled by all those lies.
Bottled the tears never once cried,
set all my emotions and feelings aside.

Act 4
Crimson tears flowed out and freed,
blood gushed out as i watched myself bleed.
For long, i have been alone indeed.
Watching, waiting, ignored - never seen.
Screams of depression filtered unclean.
Show me truth for once - i plead.
And cleanse my thoughts and stop me bleed.

Act 5
Bewitching eyes stare of oppression,
showing me images of my recession.
Smothering slowly, leaving it's impression,
the lies, the love, my life.
The lesson

Act 6
Cries of the heart,
cries of the sorrow.
Why do i loath to see my tomorrow.

Cuts for the eyes,
cuts for the gain.
Why did you leave my heart in such pain.

Memories for the forgotten,
memories for the better.
Why do you care? I've left you forever.

It's as beautiful now as it was then.
